Heading into the NFL Conference Championship games, there is a new favorite to win Super Bowl LV on Feb. 7. The Green Bay Packers’ impressive 32-18 win over the Los Angeles Rams, with a dominant 484 to 244 yardage edge, has bettors siding with Green Bay over Kansas City after the Chiefs close call over Cleveland, 22-17.
Green Bay is down to a 3-point favorite of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship with a money line of -178 to beat the Bucs. The over/under is 51 total points.
The Packers are taking more NFL futures bets and are now co-favorites to win Super Bowl LV. Green Bay and Kansas City are both +210 to capture the Lombardi Trophy, followed by the Buffalo Bills (+330) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+430).
A most anticipated match-up of MVP favorite quarterbacks has bettors excited about the potential Super Bowl meeting between the Packers and Chiefs. An enormous amount of prop bets will be available on Aaron Rodgers and and last year’s Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes if they reach the Big Game.
A record total could be reached if Kansas City and Green Bay reach the Super Bowl, or if the Bills get their against the Packers as well. The Chiefs (417 yards) and Packers (394 yards) are the top two offenses in yards per game with the Bills (386 yards) just behind. The Packers are averaging a league-high 31.8 points per game including the playoffs while the Chiefs check in at 29.1 and Bills 30.3 points per game.
The highest Super Bowl total (58.5) was in the 2017 game. The New England Patriots and QB Tom Brady pulled off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history to erase a 25-point defecit and beat the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, 34-28.
Stay tuned for a potential Packers return to the Super Bowl, which they last appeared and won in 2011. Aaron Rodgers was the Super Bowl MVP in a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers as 3-point favorites.
